The name was inspired by its designer, when golfing after a tradeshow in Louisville. He thought he would test out the newly designed, unnamed cap for a few days to see how he liked it as well as get others input about the design. On the 14th hole, a 635 yard dog-leg par 5, a well hit 3 wood put him about 70 yards out, and you guessed it, a chip in for an eagle. He knew it was the power of the TNT cap, and from that time on…it was named “The Eagle”. Still one of his favorite caps!
